Hi, I'm Bob.

I've always been drawn to backpacks — the ones with a little character, a unique design, something that feels different from what everyone else is carrying.

But here's the problem I kept running into: the ones that looked good were rarely practical. And the practical ones? Usually pretty forgettable.

I live what I'd call a Weekend Wanderer life. Monday to Friday, I'm in the city — commuting, working, catching up with friends over coffee. Come the weekend, I'm out — hiking, hitting the trails, maybe chasing some waves. Two completely different worlds, but I only ever want to carry one bag.

For a long time, I couldn't find it. The outdoor packs were too bulky for a café. The sleek city bags couldn't handle a trail or a splash. And the ones that actually did both? Eye-wateringly expensive.

So I started Pacaroo — to find and bring together backpacks and gear that are genuinely waterproof, thoughtfully designed, and built for people who refuse to choose between looking good and getting outside. One bag. Both worlds. Without spending a fortune.

The name says it all — Pack. A. Roo. - a bag that carries everything that matters — just like Australia's most iconic natural-born backpacker. 🦘

(And yes, we take that seriously. If it can't pack like a roo, it doesn't make the cut.)
